Professional and scholarly print journals are available to you by subscription or at your local academic library. At the library, after finding useful articles by searching a database the journals containing them can be located by searching for specific journal (not article) titles in the catalogue.
There is an increasing trend toward electronic publication of journals. Many of these can be searched in databases just like print one and, if you are in the library, full text of some can be available for download or printing.
If you want to access journal articles from home there are a number of free or very low cost electronic journals available. A list of some relevant ones follows. Most can be located on Google or in some library catalogues by searching the title.

Landscape Architecture Magazine has an online version published by the American Sociey of Landscape Architects. Consult back issues in the archives or the index starting in April 1996.

Open Access Journals

Open access journals are a relatively recent phenomenon. They provide free, full-text, internet access, for any user, web-wide, to digital scholarly material , primarily peer-reviewed research articles. Many are published by universities. Living reviews in landscape research
Living Reviews in Landscape Research (LRLR) is an international open access online journal, which publishes review articles on the subject of landscape research. Published by the Leibniz-Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research in Germany, the journal is organised into yearly volumes, and the full-text of articles appear as they are ready for publication. The website also features a reference database, which can be searched by author, article title, and year, and a full text search, which allows searching in articles or references.
